Logo Fun: ‘Arty Maths’
January 22, 2009 at 10:33 am | In Logo | 1 CommentWe have been learning to use the Logo language to create spiral patterns. First we had to work out the angle of turn to create regular shapes e.g. a regular Octogon. Then we created a procedure to instantly create this shape.
Octogon Procedure
Once we created our procedures we incorporated them into a sequence of commands to produce our patterns.
Logo Spiral
Finally we saved our patterns as image files and opened them up in a graphics package e.g. Paint.Net or Gnu Paint and used the fill tool to create these beautiful patterns.
